Choosing a Credit Card Rewards Program:

There are dozens upon dozens of credit cards that offer rewards programs for consumers. Finding these cards isn’t a complicated matter, but choosing the right one could be. There are a few things that you should consider when it comes to choosing a credit card rewards program, including the type of rewards and how often they are earned. For example, if you are looking for a mileage rewards card, you’ll have different options than if you were looking for a cash rewards program. Take the time to find companies that offer credit card rewards programs, and compare the different cards that they offer. Mileage cards generally add up based on X amount of miles earned per dollar spent. Cash reward cards are often based on a percentage of the sales or even selected purchases that the card is used for. For example, shopping at a specific list of retailers might elicit cash rewards of 5% for your credit card rewards program, while shopping at other stores earns you nothing. Or, you could earn points based on the money you spend, like the Chase Debit Card Rewards program. Every dollar spent is worth one point, and the points add up to be redeemed in the form of gift cards from a variety of stores. Earn enough points, and you can even get a Visa debit rewards card that you can use anywhere you’d like. Credit card rewards programs are all a little different, so you’ll have to take the time to check them out and find what suits you best. One final note to keep in mind: don’t sign up for a rewards program that you have to pay an annual fee for, unless the rewards are greater than the fee. There are plenty of free credit card rewards programs out there that you can choose from instead.
